FAQ

How do I get to Damai Indah?

Our office and the boat is at the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club in Kuah. As I am just a small business, I cannot organize the pick up, sorry. Take a taxi and come here by about 1:45 pm. But I do organize the taxi back for you if you want me to.

How do I pay?

You can pay in cash in Ringgit, USD, Euro, GBP, SIN-Dollar and AUD.

We accept all common credit card. You could also pay via paypal.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Actually most of the time people do not pay a deposit and I seldom have problems that people do not show up. I want to make your holiday experience as convenient for you as possible. It is in any case needed for private charter!

What happens in case of bad weather? Can I get seasick?

The cruising area for all our tours is in extremely calm waters and we hardly had any one becoming seasick! Langkawi is very protected due to the 99 islands surrounding us. Additionally the rainy season normally is not too bad. We operate all year around. My personal opinion is, that if we do have a tropical rain shower, it is actually really nice. Magical to see the mist coming up the mountains after a tropical downpour. Even if the weather is really bad, the ocean never builds up high waves!

Is the boat covered against rain and sun?

We have just built a new roof. Apart from the very front area at the bowsprit, the boat is fully covered against rain and sun.

Is it boring for kids? Is it safe for kids?

Kids of all ages are most welcome. We take special care of them and if they are already old enough we do some exciting activities with them. They can go for kayaking, ride the dinghy and even steer the boat. We NEVER had any kids on board that did not love Damai Indah as she reminds a bit of a pirate boat. She is very kids friendly and absolutely safe. You could even book a babysitter for the tour for only 100 RM. Sure, we provide life jackets for all guests on board including babies.

What do I need to bring along?

Bring a towel from the hotel if you can. Your camera and swimsuit. Everything else we will have on board.

What clothes should I wear?

As casual as you like it to feel comfortable.

Can I do some fishing?

We have minimum 2 fishing rots on the boat. But honestly, hardly been lucky enough to catch a fish.

Can I change my clothes inside the boat in privacy?

Of course, we have a little toilet where you can change clothes as well as a small front-cabin.

I am a Muslim, do you care for halal food?

All food served on the boat indeed is halal!
